Who we are
Vision
To be a life long resource and navigation partner for children and youth with disabilities and their families as they transition through all aspects and phases of life.
Mission
To provide education, family and residential support services for children and youth with disabilities to achieve their highest level of emotional, physical and spiritual maturity
We are an organization based in Namutumba, Uganda, dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable children and families in our community. We work with children with disabilities, children from low-income house holds, and children whose parents are persons with disabilities.
We believe that every child deserves love, dignity, education, and the opportunity to grow with hope no matter their challenges or circumstance.
Our team shares one vision: to create an environment in R&A Nursery and Primary School where no child is excluded because of their circumstances. Through education, family support, basic care, and community inclusion, we walk alongside children and their care givers helping them to take confident steps towards a brighter future.
Our mission is to provide:
We provide accomodation to give children not just a roof over their heads, but a true home — a place where they feel safe, cared for, and valued. Because sometimes their families do not have enough resources and sometimes we just try to lend a hand to those in need.
We believe no child should go to bed hungry. That’s why we provide daily meals, giving children the strength to learn, play, and develop their skills.
We believe every child deserves the chance to learn. That’s why we open the doors of education, giving them hope, confidence, and the opportunity to develop their skills
In DCW, we believe no one should ever feel alone. That’s why we create a sense of belonging, where children and families with all kinds of disabilities (hearing, physical, mental, down sindrome…) are embraced, valued, and supported as part of one big family.
